Junior Escamilla is a Solo Musician and from Los Angeles, California. He is currently the student conductor/pianist for the CSHM Liturgical Musical Group that was formed on June 2012, at CSHM HS in Montebello, California. He is also the President of the Tri-M National Honors Music Society. His primary musical influences include Richard Clayderman, Frédéric Chopin, Brian Culbertson, Dave Koz, Boney James, and countless musicians, respectively. Junior's taste of music is quite uncommon than the average person at his age. Such genres like Contemporary Jazz, Classical, Big Band, Polka, and Ragtime are the types of genres Junior has acquired in his career. "My Grandfather was a big Jazz buff, and all that exposure to my Grandfather's music shaped me to the musician I am today, and I thank him for that." Junior tends to play in a very mellow, and emotional way, where the definition of modesty and tenderness is expressed in a dynamic manner. "When I was a child, music was a big influence and a subtle refuge, where I can find inner balance. I can pretty much say that my family was a bunch of talented musicians, my Maternal Great-Grandmother was an accomplished pianist, my Great-Aunt is a Choral Singer, my Great-Uncle and my Uncle are Saxophonists, My Uncle is a Guitarist, my Cousin is a Lead Singer and Guitarist of a profound band, my Nephew is envolved in a Musical Orchestral Singing Group, my Little Cousin is a Intermediate Pianist, and my Mother was a Beginning Pianist, so music runs in my blood. My first instrument was a toy piano at 2, and in 5th Grade I think, I learned to play the Recorder, and at 11, a guitar, and at 16, a violin. I just think that music is a necessity for emotion, the thing that keeps me thirsting for more, music."
